ECP’s 2025 Student Changemakers
Lucas, Liam, and Riki from California
These 11th grade students created an episode of a cooking show titled “Triple J’s Kitchen.” In this episode, the chef tries to cook a nice meal for his viewers, but his friends point out the unseen environmental impacts of each recipe he selects, including greenhouse gas emissions and plastic pollution. To make the best meal for his audience, his friends take him to a community garden and discuss the benefits of locally sourced whole foods.

This entry includes topics discussed in several of our videos, including “Rethinking Food Waste,” “Growing Community Roots,” and “The Environment and Modern Agriculture.”
