The Educated Choices Program (ECP) is proud to announce that it has received funding for the fourth consecutive year through the Constellation Energy Community Champions grant program. This continued support will advance ECP’s Eat for the Earth: Helping the Planet with Every Bite initiative, which helps elementary students understand the impact their food choices have on the environment.

The Community Champions grant supports nonprofit organizations whose work aligns with environmental stewardship and community impact. Through this funding, ECP expands access to free, science-based food education that helps students understand how everyday food choices affect the planet, climate systems, and natural resources.

“Constellation’s continued support has played a meaningful role in strengthening Eat for the Earth and expanding its reach,” said Lorena Mucke, Founder and CEO of the Educated Choices Program. “This partnership allows us to connect climate education with real-world choices, empowering learners to see how individual actions can contribute to broader environmental solutions.”

Eat for the Earth equips students and educators with evidence-based resources that explore the environmental impacts of food systems, including greenhouse gas emissions, land use, and resource consumption. With support from the Community Champion's grant, ECP can deepen program impact, reach new classrooms and communities, and continue refining accessible educational materials.

As part of the Community Champions program, Constellation encourages grant recipients to share stories of impact and program success. ECP joins a nationwide network of organizations working to strengthen communities and advance environmental responsibility.

ECP is grateful to Constellation Energy for its continued investment in education as a pathway to climate awareness and action.
