ATLANTA, September 18, 2023 - Some of the Educated Choices Program’s (ECP) most popular educational videos, lesson plans, and accompanying materials are included in Subject to Climate’s free education hub. This easy-to-use platform connects educators of all grade levels and subject areas to free educational resources on climate change that have been approved by teachers and reviewed by scientists.
In addition to this nationwide resource, Subject to Climate develops Climate Education Hubs to help teachers meet state-specific climate education requirements and initiatives. ECP’s educational packages, including “Healthful Eating” and “The Ethics of Eating,” have been added as resources to meet objectives impacting more than 2 million students in Maine, New Jersey, Oregon, and Wisconsin.
ECP’s science-based resources meet academic standards in all fifty states as well as requirements in Canada and other countries. The nonprofit is also a member of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), a platform that enables colleges and universities to meet their sustainability goals by providing specialized resources, professional development, and a network for sharing information about sustainability products and services.
